Rûveyda is a singer, songwriter, composer, poet, multidisciplinary artist, and voice and vocal therapist. Her work moves at the intersection of music, embodiment, and healing, using the voice as a tool for emotional expression, cultural memory, and inner transformation. Her voice creates spaces where listeners can feel a sense of home, tenderness, and quiet hope.
Through her music, Rûveyda bravely explores the inner conflicts of identity, home, and heritage. Drawing on her Turkish and Muslim roots, she channels her personal experiences, questions, and wounds into a faithful expression of her inner world. Sung predominantly in her mother tongue and infused with the influences of religion, tradition and Sufism, her music invites listeners into a space of vulnerability, introspection, reflection and emotional depth.
Rûveyda’s art transcends language and culture, weaving together Turkish, Armenian, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Laz, English and German to create a universal emotional experience. Her raw, intimate vocals and a cappella passages act as mirrors of her identity, offering a heartfelt reflection of self-discovery, cultural connection, diaspora history and spiritual exploration.
